This is my favourite skin-friendly smoothie recipe. Bananas and almonds are a powerful combination to heal your skin.
The bananas are a prebiotic meaning they provide food for the good bugs in your gut and the almond butter is a source of vitamin E, zinc and omega-3 fatty acids.
With only 3 ingredients, it’s so easy to make and tastes amazing.
It’s a great healthy treat for your family too. My daughter loves it at breakfast time or anytime she fancies a milkshake snack.
Ingredients
1 cup almond milk
1 banana
1 heaped tablespoon of almond butter
Serves 1
Directions
Throw everything in a blender, blend then enjoy.
This recipe works well with any kind of milk and nut butter. Experiment and find your favourite.
Tip: you can add a couple of medjool dates and a sprinkling of cinnamon to make this really indulgent.
